This Sunday will be an important night for me and my tv. First of all, the new season for HGTV’s Design Star begins. And then more importantly, so does the new season of True Blood. Ha ha but seriously, I’ve decided to cover this season of Design Star here on 2nd Floor Living. I’ve never really watched it before and I have mixed feelings about HGTV’s design sensibilities. So, I’m not really sure how this will turn out. Either it will be inspiring or we can just have fun bashing them…either way it will be entertaining.
A few cast members that I find intriguing…
Alex Sanchez merely because he went to North Carolina A&T University in my hometown. But in looking at the work that got him on the show I’m guessing he likes to use brown ALOT. Hmm not sure how I feel about that…my biggest pet peeve with HGTV is their enthusiasm over beige.
Based on the work that got them on the show, Emily Henderson seems to be a cut above the rest in terms of sophistication. I think Emily is my fav right now.
And then there is Tera Hampton, the christian mom of three. Ok, I don’t want to piss anybody off, but her rooms are horrendous! Yowza!
Season premier is Sunday at 10 (luckily True Blood comes on at 9!).

Give her a break. It’s hard being a good decorator when the only stores near your house are Cumberland Farms and The Christmas Tree Shoppe.
Thank you, very good posting!

You’ve patently never been camping down at Glastonbury, where there’s an increasing vogue to turn up 2 days too soon and put up a immense summerhouse before of your tent thus as to snaffle as much earth for yourself as potential. Course at Glastonbury terra firma is much scarcer than in a camping area – but that’s the crucial thing about political economic systems, isn’t it? How they handle with scarcity ? .
